The Chamber of Advocates of RA hosted the delegation of the bar association of Paris and Hauts-de-Seine, the president of Paris Bar Association Julie Couturier, vice president Vincent Niore, member of Paris Bar Association Emmanuel Escard De Romanovsky, president of the Bar Association of Hauts-de-seine Isabelle Clanet Dit Lamanit, vice president Fabien Arakelian and ex-president of the Bar Association of Hauts-de-seine Michele Gichore.

By the request of the guests, on April 23, the representatives of the Chamber of Advocates of RA headed by the chairman Simon Babayan and the representatives of the Academy of Advocates of RA headed by rector Ara Zohrabyan accompanied their French colleagues to Syunik Province Tegh village to see the situation in the frontier villages of Armenia.

The delegations of advocates of France and Armenia were greeted by the community mayor Davit Ghulunts who presented the tense situation in Armenian villages that are at a direct target of Azerbaijan.

The remarkable thing is that the visit of advocates coincided with a new terrible reality. The delegations of two countries recorded another aggression of Azerbaijan in Tegh village of Syunik province.

The Azerbaijani forces blocked the bridge over Hakari river on the new highway connecting Armenia from Kornidzor village to Artsakh, which was exploited for humanitarian purposes by Russian peacekeepers and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

In fact, it is the last alternative road connecting Armenia with Artsakh.

It is worth mentioning that the Armenian-French friendly relations are also strengthened between the Chambers of Advocates of two countries.

During the discussions with French colleagues the chairman of the Chamber of Advocates Simon Babayan and the rector of the Academy of Advocates Ara Zohrabyan presented the constantly recorded encroachments by the Azerbaijani forces against the Armenian people and Armenian territories.

The Armenian colleagues also presented the Armenian historical and cultural sites and churches to the delegation of France.

On April 24 the delegations of the bar associations of Paris and Hauts-de-Seine with the representatives of the Chamber of Advocates of RA also visited Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex.

Afterwards, the French colleagues were again hosted at the Chamber of Advocates of RA, the Academy of Advocates of RA and the Public Defender’s Office.

Summarizing the visit to Armenia, the delegation of advocates of France thanked the Armenian colleagues for the warm reception and friendly relations, and also for organizing cultural visits to the cozy places of Armenia.

At the end of the meeting, the vice-president of the Paris Bar Association Vincent Niore and the president of the Bar Association of Hauts-de-seine Isabelle Clanet Dit Lamanit informed the Armenian colleagues that upon their return to France they will speak up about the situation in Armenia on different platforms, because they strongly condemn the continuous aggression of Azerbaijan against the Armenian sovereign territory and peaceful people.
